Varilrix is a live attenuated vaccine used to prevent chickenpox (varicella) in individuals from 9-12 months of age and older. Administered as two injections (subcutaneously or intramuscularly), it induces antibodies to fight the virus, requiring a minimum of 4–6 weeks between doses. It does not treat active chickenpox.
